Last night, we hosted our very first official fair equity event—in a small, intimate setting with friends and family. In this personal atmosphere, we shared our vision: to rethink development cooperation by investing—as entrepreneurs—directly in African founders, with the aim of fostering employment and enabling long-term economic growth.

Together, we explored key topics such as Africa’s young and dynamic population, the enormous demand for jobs, and the critical role that entrepreneurial capital can play.
We spoke about our first investor trip to Ghana in March and offered a preview of potential portfolio companies and their inspiring founders.

But above all, the evening focused on one thing: changing the narrative about Africa—from a continent of risks and dependency to a place of entrepreneurial opportunity, bold innovation, and growing economic self-determination.

What made the evening especially meaningful was having people in the room who are close to us—who ask honest questions and walk this path alongside us.
Transforming donations into equity capital is still a young concept—one that calls for openness, dialogue, and shared learning.

The evening made one thing clear: our idea resonates. And we’re just getting started.

A heartfelt thank you to all participants—especially Nadine Fels from HelpAge Germany, as well as Adeola Oluwaseun Ajibola and Kiruri Solomon for the wonderful culinary experience with Nigerian specialties like chicken, puff puff, dodo (fried plantains), and meat pies.
